Unfortunately we've come to realize that not all windows are the same size even from the same unit. Most often they are off by 1/8" to 1/16" of an inch which can make the screens either come off loose or would just not fit in at all. That is why we have a protocol to have them all measured to be custom made.

There are too many types of windows and doors that I can't give you a quote based off of just rough measurements. Pictures gives me better understanding of what the client's options are.

Customers get a 3 Year warranty coverage for any mechanical issues on bug screens, and 2 year warranty on retractable screens that Screenguy Sam measured and installed (Mesh damage after installation not included). Bug screens are only supposed to stop bugs - not pets or kids. We cannot help with new building door, window frames tilting after years. Minimum service charge of $90 will be invoiced for any miscellaneous issues that is not warranty covered.

We only provide repair and maintenance services for screens originally measured and installed by Screenguy Sam. We do not service third-party products.

Usually between 5-10 business days of turnaround time, the actual installation usually 20 mins to 2 hours depending on what and how many you ordered.

We originally started off using both magnets and latches for our retractable screen doors but magnets turned out to be too unreliable as it detached randomly and has slammed onto kids, pets and elderly.

Magnetic retractable screens are prone to "accidental slamming" caused by wind gusts or light pressure, which can be dangerous for pets and children. Screenguy Sam utilizes a mechanical latching system that stays locked regardless of wind or vibration, providing a safer, more reliable closure that won't retract unexpectedly.

We take E-transfers, Cheques or cash.

They are about 50% more thicker than regular screens. But to give you examples; we've seen cats climbing to their cat towers using their screens, small dogs bouncing off of doors and larger dogs have taken out the whole door and pet mesh stayed intact.
